Nazeing Common star Andrew Kadwill has committed his long term future to the club by penning a two year contract extension.
Kadwill, nicknamed (amongst other things) ‘The Machine’ for his impressive chocolate consumption abilities, joined the club in 2002 and has gone on to make over 800 runs and taken more than 100 wickets.
Speaking on Sky Sports News this morning he stated; “It’s nice to finally get this new deal thrashed out. My agent has been locked in talks with the Chairman for several minutes and Im delighted we have come to an agreement that suits both parties. I feel I can now focus on the cricket again and continue to help Nazeing reach new heights”.
Chairman Peter Barker was unavailable for comment, but social secretary Kevin Murphy described the news as ‘Marrrrrrvellous’.
The 22 year old has been in excellent form indoors, notching 50 runs in 3 innings so far as Nazeing B continue an impressive league campaign.
They surged to a third consecutive victory last evening with a fine team performance against Full Tossers.
Kadwill himself notched 25, whilst 55 from Mike Plume added to a fine all round team effort as a 50 run win was secured.
The A-Team have endured a troublesome campaign, but picked up victory by 1 run over Myddleton House last evening, with excellent work from Veteran Ron Morley and Ed Taylor seeing them home.
And a reminder to all that winter nets (or pre-season training if you want to make us sound professional) continues on Monday evenings at 7.00pm at the new HECC Sport Centre in High Wych. Contact any of the usual suspects for more information.

We’ll Meet Again…
The season came to a close this weekend, with just enough time for Kevin Murphy to show perhaps he should head to Hoddesdon instead, whilst Peter Barker continued his season long average protection plan and Andy Bevan cracks 96*
An exciting conclusion to the sixes league this weekend, with Peter Barker notching 6 of them on the final day to overtake Todd Sturdy, who had prematurely been awarded the trophy on Saturday evening.
Barker is seen here proudly receiving his tropyhy from a very gutted Todd Sturdy.
Whilst some handled their presentation night alcohol pretty well…some didn't…well, one didn't.
