YOUNG ADMITS UMPIRING INTEREST Nazeing paceman Phil ‘The Carlsberg Express’ Young has admitted to NazeingCricket.org that he is considering a career in umpiring. The 44 year old has received much praise for his umpiring as of late and its believed he is ready to consider a step into semi retirement and into umpiring at first class level. Young currently makes a living as, well we aren’t sure, but he gets a car so it must be quite important, and would need to seriously consider a career switch, but he readily admits it’s a job he thoroughly enjoys and could soon don the coat for good.

DANES PROOF REVEALED Proof of recent allegations that Nazeing legend Peter Danes had been spotted drinking Lucozade Sport can finally be revealed here. The photograph, taken by a source whom wishes to remain nameless owing to the fact a bar tab has reappeared after his son played yesterday for the first time in a while, proves that Danes has infact opted to switch to an isotonic drink that will allegedly make him go 33% longer. Time will tell.

JUG CHALLENGES MACKIE With the recent signing of Hatton v Mayweather still big news, another great challenge has been laid down. The ever popular Nazeing jug has challenged batsman Rob Mackie to please, please fill him with lager after yet again choking in the 90’s. The Scotsman has been avoiding the jug, or moreover the purchase of lager to fill it, for many years, but most believe that he cant get away with getting himself in the 90’s for much longer and that eventually the £8 will have to be paid. |

REESE SECRETS REVEALED Our sources have discovered that the secret behind Dan ‘Sleepy’ Reese’s recent batting revival is infact coaching from renowned Nazeing bat Ed Taylor. Plume Doubtful Spinner Mike Plume rates his chances of playing against Little Munden this Saturday in the clubs final home game of the HECL season as “50/50 at best”. The 21 year old picked up a knee injury which meant he was unable to bowl against Stansted Hall on Saturday, and will have treatment midweek before making a decision. “Obviously Im gutted, but I want to get back out their as soon as possible” he stated. Plume has taken 54 wickets this season, and is averaging 17.28 with the bat, big hitting which has seen him become a firm favourite with the clubs female supporters;” I’d like to thank everyone for their support, cards and letters since the weekend, rest assured I’ll be back !”

Plume: Knee injury could see him out for some time. | Peart To Explain Jug Avoidance?
Rumours are circulating in the media this week that Fosters may be asking Nazeing paceman Sonny Peart to explain his reluctance to take 5 wickets on Saturday. They had been expecting the £8 from Peart’s pocket, and were shocked and surprised when the experienced seamer slowed down later on in his spell. Fosters claim that his excuse of ‘I haven’t bowled a 10 over spell in years” is blatant avoidance of beverage purchase and want answers. |
